Today I have used a wide range of software.

As normal I have used social networks such as; Facebook, Twitter to communicate with friends and family. I have used my email for work purposes as I have needed to communicate with employers. I also used the Apple store on my iPhone 5 to update my games and the latest software.

I also had to update the channels on my tv to get access to more programmes which I may watch.

First direct is on online bank I have found on a comparison website. The website compares a vary of online banking all over the world so you can see which Bank would suit your expectations best compared to other top banks. Over draft for 'first direct' is 15.90%.
interest rate is 0% which is very poor compared to many other banks which offer a lot higher rate.
customer service rating 'good' is 75%.

As you can clearly see there are huge comparisons between different online banks so people can pick the banks that suits them best.

Sandanter is another bank I looked at using the same comparison website.

People all over the world are starting to use online banking a lot more as you can to do nearly everything you can do at a bank just usually in a quicker. You can have full control of your money as long as you apply all the information about your bank.
Online banking is taking over the market when it comes to the fiance side of things.

There are a few problems when it comes to online banking such as; its not as safe, you are not able to get money in hand.

The positive side to this is that you have almost full control of your money from a click of a button. But for specific things you Will need to go to the bank therefore banks will still be in use just not as much as they use to be before online banking.

Cloud data is used all over the world. There are many services and companies that use loud data to save any information or software programmes online. Business also put the cloud data up for the public to access and save their data onto the drive so they can access it from anywhere in the world (as long as they have Internet). There are many types of cloud data services used such as; Icloud, Google drive, Skydrive, operation systems, Xbox cloud drive and many other businesses use this.

 

 

 

Cloud data is also used a lot at work as they are able to work in a team to complete different tasks then transferee them over the cloud. This also prevents businessmen from carrying around hardware as they can access it from any computer due to the cloud.

There are millions and millions of things you are able to download on the Internet. People of all ages are downloading new types of software on a daily basis all around the world.

Music - Nearly everyone in the world listens to music, everyone knows about it. as technology is expanding people in LEDC's are even able to download music no matter where they are. Whereas ten years ago you would have had to go to the shop and buy a CD to listen to your music, but now there's software like Itunes where you can download instantly and listen.

Games - There are many ways of downloading games. You use to have to go to the shop and buy hardware (discs) to be able to download any kind of game. Now the market is developing online and you are able to download nearly any game you can think of. Software such as the app markets on phones, Xbox market place, websites on the computer, etc.

Porn - instead of going to the shop and buying magazines you are able to sign into any computer and view porn on many different websites.

Films - Films are still mainly used using DVDs but has recently developed to better quality called 'blueray'. The online market is rapidly developing and people are starting to use and download more online. Websites such as Netflix are being used more and more and soon it is predicted that businesses like 'blobkbuster' will close down as people will not go out to buy DVDs anymore as they can just view them from a click of a button.

Government provides a wide range of service which make our lives safe and easier. All of these services will help all of us in life, information services, online reporting and advice, online booking and online payments. Anyone within England can access anyone of these for there own personal use/protection.

Ebay is a huge business within the shopping industry. It is a website that sells millions of products per day. People sell products through their site, anyone can use it and many starting businesses use their site to sell their own products. Ebay charge 10% of the price of every product sold so they are able to make a huge profit on their site as Millions of products are being sold on it. They have 2 different types of sales "buy it now" and an auction, where people can bid on the products which are being sold.

There are so many things on Ebay, electronics, cars, fashion apparel, collectibles, sporting goods, digital cameras, baby items, coupons. Nearly everything you can think of which is legal to buy on the Internet.

Another benefit to this is that is normally so much cheaper than buying it in the shops. You can also see how reliable the person who's selling the item is as you can see all the feedback and ratings which other buyers have posted.
It has recommendations of similar products, advertised products and it also set their products into category's as shown in the picture below.

From Great Denham, Green Keepers road (my house) to Tottenham, court road, London. Taking the quickest route would take about one hour and 40 minutes on the train .
I would cost £23.10 to take this route of travel, using these direction on the left of the picture.

The same journey in the car would take 1 hour and 15 minutes. It will cost more to go by car as the cost of petrol is high and the most direct route in the car is 55.2 miles.

We use different types of software a number of times in a day to make out lives easier, such as the what the weathers going to be like, sports fixtures, betting, gaming, new technology, transport times (bus).

For example the bbc weather tells up everything we will need to know about the weather within the next five day. instead of looking outside and taking an educated guess. The bbc weather app calculates the chance of what the weather will be like. for example it tells me between 4pm-5pm there is 40% chance of rain. websites like this are improving and expanding their technology every day to make our lives so much easier.

Programmes i have used

Downloaded the blogger app today on my iphone. It is currently downloading so I will easily be able to do daily blogs from my iphone as it'll be more convenient for me. In the last few days I have used many software programmes to communicate with my friends and for work purposes. I have used Twitter, Facebook, Email and a few other programmes to do the things i need in my work and social life.

Email and risks

Email has been around since the 1970's. It has been used my billions of people all around the world. When the Internet first came out it was huge, everyone knew about it and word rapidly got around (for the people who had the Internet back then).

History of the email
Email is much older than the Internet, the Internet involved from very basic tech and is being developed daily.

Early email when email just first come out it was just a small advance on file directory - it just put a message in another user's directory where people could view what you had sent them from another log in. It was just as simple as leaving a note for someone on there bed.

The first email system of this type was mailbox, this was used Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1965. Another program to send messages other the computer was called SNDMSG but they had to be on the same computer.
The mainframe computers of this era might have had up to one hundred users to the mainframe.

Risks
there are many when using emails as there are many programs (viruses) that are made just to infected and mess up your computer. There are many different viruses/worms that can infect your computer. Most of them infect your computer and then they automatically send links to your friends (other email addresses which you have saved) and the virus spreads. This is called a chain virus. Some can wipe out operating systems in seconds as it spreads so quickly.

Many companies use blogs to promote their products/services. most companies have some kind of blog. There are many gaming blogs such as the ones in the previous blogs, Tescos, Sainsburys and even smaller companies that are slowly promoting them selfs.
